In a small village in Antakya, Turkey, there is a man named Yilmaz Buyukasik who supports his family by hand-weaving beautiful textiles. When a massive earthquake struck his hometown in February of 2023, Yilmaz's home was destroyed and his looms were damaged. He considers himself lucky because his family survived. The sale of already finished pieces enabled him to make enough money to repair his looms, and now he is weaving again. Each of these blankets are hand-woven on a traditional wooden loom. Fabric made on hand looms lasts longer than the fabric made on automatic machines AND it is much, much softer. These 100 percent cotton blankets are luxuriously soft with hand-tied tassels at each end. This blanket could remind you of a bumble bee. A cheerful yellow is contrasted with black and woven together into this incredibly soft cotton blanket. The blanket measures 78 by 102 inches and would cover a queen-sized bed.
