This hand-made sterling silver clasp features a vintage glass piece from Japan. Made in the 1960s for costume jewelry, these pieces were never used until we discovered them hiding the corner of a basement. The centerpiece features a beautiful lily and some daisies. In typical Japanese style, the craftsmanship is precise and realistic. The piece is bezel set in a hand-made sterling silver box clasp. The clasps are made for us by some of the finest silversmiths in the world who work deep in the recesses of the Grand Bazaar. The clasp is 30 mm from ring to ring and 14 mm wide. It is 11 mm high. It has a large tongue for a secure clasp. It would look delightful with pearls. The glass is glazed, but does not have a shiny finish. Semi-matte would best describe the sheen.
