Small silver Medusa pendant

This sterling silver Medusa pendant is sure to turn heads. This pendant was hand-made of sterling silver by some of the finest silversmiths in the world in Istanbul, Turkey. This pendant is finished both front and back with writhing snakes surrounding the face of the goddess. The fine texture on each snake is remarkable and the attention to detail is so great that even the bail of the pendant is a snake. Medusa is an symbol used to protect from and ward off the negative, much like the modern evil eye. She represents a dangerous threat meant to deter other dangerous threats, an image of evil to repel evil due to her ability to turn anyone she looked at to stone, literally to petrify. The pendant measures 40 mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. It is 30 mm across. The pendant weighs a half ounce, so it is a substantial piece of silver.
