Murano rosy swirl clasp

This is a vintage piece of Murano glass bezel set in a hand-made sterling silver box clasp. This clasp was designed with bracelets in mind. The placement of the rings would make the clasp the perfect accent for a two strand bracelet. The design is almost a rose or a stylized rose with swirls of metallic copper powder in the bead. These centerpieces were made before WW II and destined for the thriving costume jewelry industry in Rhode Island. WWII and the need for all metal for national defense meant these pieces sat in warehouses for decades. I was happy to find them and give them new life in our own line of clasps. The clasp is 32 mm from ring to ring and 14 mm wide.
