Faux green opal clasp

I love these gem look-alikes. This glass piece was made in Germany immediately after WWII. The box I found it in was marked "Germany-U.S. Zone" so we know it is vintage for sure! The glass has a lovely luminescence about it and is shot through with black highlights. The centerpiece is set in a handmade sterling silver box clasp. The centerpiece is 10 mm by 12 mm and the clasp measures 27 mm from ring to ring.
