Faceted jade necklace

This lovely faceted jade was mined in British Columbia, Canada. It is a beautiful dark color, so dark that it almost looks black. But worn against a light surface, its dark green shade is apparent. This necklace is made of 11 mm faceted jade beads interspersed with 5 mm vermeil accent beads. The necklace is hand-knotted on silk. Elsie has chosen a lovely lighter green silk thread for the knots which add a lovely accent to the entire piece. The necklace is 20 inches long and features a bright gold vermeil hook clasp. For centuries people have believed that wearing Jade can offer relief from arthritis.
