Chinese vessel

This is, without a doubt, the nicest Chinese vessel that I have ever had. The colors are vibrant, and the patterns are opulent and detailed. The pot is 21 1/4 inches high and 15 inches across the top. The opening is 11 1/4 inches. The foot is 9 1/2 inches across. The background color is black. There are Chinese Lions, also known as Foo Dogs, depicted on the pot on four sides in yellow. The Chinese Lion is a protector and symbolizes strength and stability. There are also gorgeous pink chrysanthemums which symbolize duration and long life. The piece is glazed inside and out. It does have some stain rings inside as one would expect from a piece of this age that most likely had a potted plant inside. There is just one mark on the bottom, a single Chinese character. This piece cannot be shipped; orders will be held at the store for pick-up or delivered at no charge within a 10-mile radius of Lambertville.
