River coral is a different species that what we usually call coral. River coral has a more spongy texture which translates to an interestingly dotty color saturation on these beads. Like other coral, the color drains from the coral when it is harvested and it is then dyed to approximate its color in nature. These coral beads have color variation from almost white to darker red. Each strand is 16 inches long and contains approximately 12 beads.
